Candid Photography
The Art of Capturing the Truth
I started my photographic journey with objects – seashells, flowers, plants. Soon, I moved on to places – redwood forests, coastal dunes, desert landscapes. A year ago, I fell for candid moments – scenes of humanity, whether mundane or fantastic, that spoke to me.
Candid Through My Eyes
Most photos lack a tangible explanation or background; they are moments frozen in time. Nonetheless, humans attach meaning to these scenes; we create explanations and formulate context for these unassuming stories. In this way, photos do what writing can’t – they transcend language, culture and time, presenting an unbiased glimpse into an authentic, raw experience.
Still, photos have no absolute interpretation. They invite criticism, introspection and reflection. Photography challenges us to explore our own creativity, whether behind the camera or in the gallery.
